August 2, 2010 – Inducted will be Gary L. Crocker, Mike Leavitt and the late Dale H. Ballard. The speaker at the Oct. 29 event is John T. Chambers, chairman and CEO of Cisco.
Crocker is president of Crocker Ventures, a life science investment firm. Since 2004, he also has been chairman of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, a cancer drug company.
Leavitt is a former the secretary of Health and Human Services and administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency in the administration of President George W. Bush. He also was elected three times as governor of Utah and is credited with creating a vision for information technology in the state.
Ballard was founder of Ballard Medical Products. He also co-founded Deseret Pharmaceutical Co. with James L. Sorenson and Victor Cartwright.
